Arik brings over five years of experience in optomechanical, electromechanical, and manufacturing design. He began working at Triple Ring as an intern designing and testing the performance of a soft gasket/O-ring capable of holding a seal under low-pressure differentials. At Scripp’s research lab at UCSD Arik helped to develop a device that detected alcohol consumption by mice using pressure differentials as a model for understanding neurological predispositions that drive alcoholic behavior in humans. At Triple Ring Technologies, Arik has performed roles as an optical, mechanical, electrical, and systems engineer and has been integral to the success of projects spanning tissue oximetry, robotic surgery, enclosures for animal testing, and X-ray systems. Arik’s areas of expertise include SolidWorks, Incoming Quality Control, design for manufacturing and assembly, bills of materials, manufacturing process instructions, and engineering work orders. His areas of interest include mechanical part design, finite element analysis, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and overall process improvement and implementation.
Arik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
