Barry E. Wood studied mechanical engineering at Oregon State University and worked for various engineering firms in The Pacific Northwest under the MECOP internship program. Following his undergraduate studies he completed his master’s degree in biomedical engineering at the University of New Mexico while working for the small computational physics company, NumerEx, to design high-pressure mechanical components for experimental fusion reactors under ARPA-E. He specializes in the design and analysis of mechanical and biomedical systems.
