Dr. Chris Mitchell has over 25 years of experience in the development of X-ray systems for diagnostic radiology, osteoporosis detection, security, and industrial applications, and medical devices for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic applications. While at Triple Ring he has led teams developing X-ray sources for oncology and security applications. Chris has held technical and engineering leadership roles throughout his career including chief scientific officer and vice president of R&D. He is the inventor or coinventor on 5 patents and has authored, co-authored, and presented numerous scientific papers.
Chris holds a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from Weber State University. He received M.S. (Bioengineering) and Ph.D. (Electrical Engineering) degrees from the University of Utah.
