Gene Napolitano, PhD
Senior Director, Project Management
Gene has over 30 years of industry experience developing technology platforms, program management and leading multidisciplinary teams in drug discovery and in vitro diagnostics (genomic profiling, protein biomarkers). On the technical side, he has focused on cell and molecular biology in the areas of neurobiology, immunology, oncology, and cell therapy. At various points throughout his career, he has focused on cancer diagnostics and therapeutics, supervised research and collaborations in inflammatory diseases employing in silico biosimulation technology, directed laboratory research and operations and collaborations in the area of toxicogenomics, and led interdisciplinary groups involved in small molecule and peptide drug discovery efforts. He has held management positions at Nodality Inc., Entelos, Iconix Pharmaceuticals, Signature BioSciences, IGEN International, and Terrapin Technologies.
Gene did his postdoctoral work in molecular neurobiology at UCSF and received his Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from NYU School of Medicine. Gene earned his BA from the State University of New York at Binghamton in Biology and German.
