Jordan Sweer
Senior Scientist
Jordan Sweer is an optical scientist in the Photonics, Imaging, and X-ray group. He has particular experience in biophotonics, fluorescence measurement systems, NIR spectroscopy, optical system design, algorithm development, and hands-on optical experimentation. While at TRT, Jordan contributes his knowledge to optical system modeling, radiometry, prototype development and testing, image analysis, and system verification for FDA submissions. Jordan works on both the optical hardware and algorithmic side of numerous projects towards measuring biological signals to improve diagnostics and physiological monitoring through light interaction with tissue and biomarkers.
Jordan holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and an MS in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He has co-authored a number of publications in biophotonics and tissue optics.
