Nicholas brings over five years of experience in biophotonics, optomechanical design, and biomedical devices. He began his career at Beckman Laser Institute, where he focused on researching the fabrication of thin-film monochromatic holograms for application in photonic topological insulators. Concurrently, he researched optical tweezer interactions with gold nanostructures. In a joint senior capstone project and research position, Nicholas played a key role in developing microfabrication techniques for direct-drive hearing aid devices. These experiences laid the groundwork for his time at Triple Ring Technologies, where for the past three years, he has been an integral part of various projects spanning laparoscopy, fluorescence imaging, and flow cytometry. Throughout his tenure at Triple Ring, Nicholas’s contributions have encompassed roles ranging from optomechanical engineer to systems engineer.
Nicholas holds a B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine.
