Dr. Roger Tang specializes in providing Project Science, Engineering, and Management expertise across an array of projects and programs and is also responsible for Triple Ring’s Internal Research and Development activities and projects. Previously, Roger managed the life sciences instrumentation and reagents research and development group at Molecular Devices (Danaher). His industrial career started at a biotechnology startup, Signature Bioscience, which developed some of the first label-free assay technologies based on bioimpedance. Before his industrial career, he was an Assistant Adjunct Professor in Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco, where his research focused on cancer imaging using X-ray CT and molecular imaging. He is a named inventor on over a dozen granted and pending patents and has authored or presented numerous scientific papers.
Roger received his PhD in Bioengineering from the Joint Graduate Group in Bioengineering at the University of California at Berkeley and San Francisco. He also holds an MS in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona and a BS in Applied Physics from the California Institute of Technology.
