Todd Harris, PhD
Principal Scientist
Dr. Harris has a broad background in physics and optics, he brings experience in areas as diverse as analog optical signal processing, spectroscopy and dynamics of rare earths, exotic and novel imaging systems, laser source development, high-energy distributed solid-state lighting, laser eye protection technologies, and ocean optics. During his 12 years at SRI International, Todd managed and contributed to a wide variety of contract R&D projects for the US Government and commercial clients utilizing his optical modeling expertise and practical knowledge of optoelectronic componentry. Before SRI International, he was with The Spectrum Lab at Montana State University working on optical signal processing and optical memory technologies based on spatial-spectral holography and optical coherent transients in rare-earth activated transparent crystals – a technology platform that sought to develop ultra-wideband signal processors and optical memories for petaflops computing.
Todd received his PhD and MS, both in physics, from Montana State University – Bozeman and his BS in physics from Case Western Reserve University.
